Organic Animal Husbandry
Organic animal husbandry is the rearing of livestocks by usage of organic and biodegradable inputs from the ecosystem in terms of nutrition, health, housing and breeding of animals. In organic animal husbandry system the usage of synthetic inputs such as drugs, feed additives and usage of genetically engineered breeding inputs are strictly prohibited. Animal husbandry is an important financial pillar of organically producing farms. Usually they earn more than 50% of their turnover with animal husbandry. Keeping this in mind, Foundation for Organic Agriculture and Rural Development is offering the following training programmes in the Organic animal husbandry sector.
